Third Attempt
This is the third attempt at my Magazine, as you can see I have simplified many things and made it look more professional and neater, most of the text is now complete and I just need to insert pictures into the spaces provided. Once I have done this I believe that my Magazine will be close to complete. If you have any constructive criticism please let me know.
Second Attempt
As you can see from these screenshots, my Magazine is slowly beginning to take place, I have changed the colour scheme and the the whole look of the magazine, I have edited the picture on the front page and played with the Mast Head so that it looks more professional. My contents page has also been started, I have tried to keep the same feel with the colours and looks of the magazine throughout as you can see. My double page spread has just been started, I have begin to enter the heading but when I looked back through all of the pieces I believed that it looked childish and it wouldn't be in a real magazine so I decided to change it once again.
First Attempt
This was my first attempt at trying to make the front cover of my Music Magazine, as you can see I played with the hue's and saturations and tried to give the magazine a very vibrant feel, unfortunately I didn't like the way that the magazine looked so further along the line I decided to change the look and feel of it.

First screenshot of Front Cover
As you can see from this screenshot, in this double lesson I have managed to begin to create the front cover of my music magazine. I have inserted 2 images, one being the main image, and the other the item you could win, and I have changed the settings and looks of the image to give it a more vibrant look. I have also inserted the Mast Head of the magazine. I will carry this on in the next lesson.

Double Page Spread Analysis
In this post I have analysed 2 different Magazine double page spreads and said why different features have been used and how they have affected the audience and the magazine.
Sorry...
Unfortunately for the last couple of weeks I have been tied down with family commitments and other subjects to concentrate on, so the lack of posting is due to this, however posting will return to normal from today.

Magazine Title Ideas
In this document, I have took a selection of different text types and styles and edited them in photoshop. Some have worked well but some have not, from this selection I may choose one to be used as the Mast Head of my music magazine or I may continue to experiment with others.

Analysis of 2 Magazine Front Pages
In this post I have analysed 2 front pages of 2 different magazines, one including Rihanna and one including Tinie Tempah.
Double Page Spread Mock Up
This is a mock up of how I expect my double page spread to look. I have done it like this so that the main image of the article stands out and that the text looks small enough so that readers will want to read it. I have included the title of the article above the text so that people can see what the article is going to be about.

Contents page mock up
This is a mock up of how I expect my contents page to look. I have done it like this so that the word contents is in the same place as the mast head so that it looks proffesional. I have included 4 pictures down the left side which are other stories other than the front cover with a contents down the right telling people were to go for certain things.
Front cover mock up
This is a mock up of how I expect my front cover off my magazine to look. The reasosns for making my front cover look like this are so that due to the mast head being slanted it makes it look original and stands out more. I would have the main imgae to the left of this and taking up most of the screen so that it can be a unique selling point with a puff above that to catch the eyes of customers after the main image.

Carmel College Analysis
This is the Magazine for Carmel College, ST Helens, as you can see the mast head in this magazine is Carmel Up Close which stands out at the very top in bright pink writing. You could also say that due to the colours being mainly pink and the use of all girls in the picture that the magazine is mainly aimed at the female population in the college. The headline on this article is 'result!' which is at the bottom of the page, this shows that inside the article will be news and information about the test results which the students have recently achieved, also the main image, of a girl screaming in excitement links in with this, as she has clearly just received her results and they have went well.
The secondary images along with the features are along the top of the magazine, just below the Masthead, these are other things that are going on in the college like the sports round up from the college, and the new facilities that are available in the new school. The fact that the people in the back of the main picture re wearing plain clothes whilst the the main girl is wearing coloured clothing could be to show that carmel college can make you stand out above your piers and so that you are focused on that girl and her reactions.

Feminist Views.
Not so long ago females were seen as objects, as the people who would do the house work whilst the males would be out working, rather than the two being equal in society. They were not allowed to vote or work, they had to stay at home all of the time and keep the house tidy.
Voyeurism and fetishism are also linked in with woman. Voyeurism means that woman are there to be objects and to be starred at, like on the front of magazines like nuts or zoo, they are there to be adored and to sell the magazine for there assets. Fetishism is to do with fetishes, as the word states, this means that men have certain things they like about woman, for example you could have a fetish for gingers, bigger boobs or for outfits like a nurse or fireman.
